Blake has been on at least seven dental missions with DFA, working at clinics in Comitancillo, El Remate, Rio Dulce, and Antigua (Guatemala). Blake was a long-standing financial supporter of DFA before he made his first trip with his wife Michelle as his assistant. He thought that he knew what to expect from the stories he had heard from other trip volunteers. However, he and Michelle were amazed at the strength of the emotions they felt during the trip.

There is so much need and the people are so kind and grateful. A gracious hug, a thankful handshake, a child’s smile. These are the memories that stay with you.
